Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity to become part of a high performing Tasman team as an Asset Engineering Technician. Reporting to the Asset Engineer, this role is responsible for providing technical asset management services, enhancing services to clients and supporting the contract operations teams.
The primary role of this position is to ensure that engineering processes and deliverables that are related to infrastructure asset management are carried out to the required company and contract standards, as well as to analyse and manage asset information data, assist with the setup of hardware and software systems used in the collection of asset data.
You will find yourself performing tasks such as but not limited to:
- Work with field data collectors, road inspectors and frontline staff providing training and quality processes.
- Assist the Asset Engineer and Delivery team with programming and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Support, implement and adhere to H&S policies and procedures
- Managing the processes associated with the provision of data and condition collection including inspiring a team of inspectors
- Functional Relationship with the Asset Information Manager.
Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills
You will ideally have some civil construction experience in road maintenance, along with:
- A relevant tertiary Engineering or Information Technology or science qualification
- Ability to manage and develop effective working
- GIS experience is advantageous
- Experience in contract engineering, spatial analysis or information management
- Previous experience in Asset and Works Management (AWM) systems would be highly advantageous.
