Civil Materials Technician, Hamilton Our Laboratories are responsible for testing civil engineering materials such as aggregates, soils, concrete, and bituminous materials to support our clients’ manufacturing and construction activities.

We are looking for a Civil Materials Laboratory Technician to join our Lab team in Hamilton.

This role will involve a variety of projects working in the laboratory or out in the field. There will be the occasional night shift work.

About you:

  • Previous experience in a civil engineering laboratory is advantageous, but not essential, full training will be provided.
  • If you do not have laboratory experience, we are open to speaking with applicants with previous experience in a labour / trades role, such as construction, roading, warehousing or farming.
  • A good level of fitness and strength, as this role involves a significant amount of physical activity, including lifting and carrying heavy material and equipment.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills for data entry and following digital instructions.
  • Holds a current clean New Zealand driver’s license.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team player.
  • Willing to travel as and when required for work.
