Job Title: Fabricator/Welder-Heavy Location: Lower Hutt, New Zealand Duration: Ongoing
Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Fabricator/Welder specialising in heavy fabrication for an ongoing position in Lower Hutt. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in welding, fabrication, and interpreting technical drawings. You will be responsible for constructing and repairing heavy-duty steel structures and components, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and assemble steel structures and components based on technical drawings and specifications.
- Perform welding operations using various techniques such as MIG, TIG, and STICK welding.
- Inspect and test welded structures to ensure quality and durability.
- Operate and maintain fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams to meet deadlines and project requirements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Fabricator/Welder in heavy fabrication.
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and STICK welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Relevant certifications in welding and fabrication are preferred.
