Experienced fitter/welder

We are seeking a skilled and experienced fitter/welder to join our team to ease current workload.

Our workshop in based in Upper Hutt where we mainly fabricate in, but our work extends to sites around the greater Wellington region.

Our area of expertise is mainly structural steel, but also aluminium and heavy vehicle maintenance too among other things.

Ideal candidate will... *Be confident and have experience running your own jobs and supervising other workers *Be confident and flexible enough to work by yourself unsupervised, and also in a team *Have a NZ Drivers licence *Have strong experience fabricating in a workshop *Be able to operate a forklift *Be able to work on site and deal with any challenges confidently, efficiently and show initiative. *Have great communication, especially when liaising with clients and/or suppliers *Be a NZ Citizen *Be able to fit in with our team, have a good sense of humour *Qualifications are a bonus, but not essential as long as you have a strong knowledge and background in fabrication/engineering and are open to learning.

Our usual hours are 7am-4pm Monday-Friday although hours may vary. There is opportunity for overtime/night shift work (with overtime pay rates) Opportunity for ongoing work and also training based on work performance.
