About the Role As an Electrical Engineer, you’ll help keep our site running safely, reliably, and efficiently. You’ll work across all electrical and instrumentation systems, from HV/LV distribution to automation and control, driving improvements that reduce downtime, lift productivity, and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. You’ll also support and upskill operators and maintenance teams, contributing to a strong zero-incident safety culture. In this role, you will:
- Design, develop, and oversee installation of electrical and instrumentation systems
- Support and supervise HV/LV maintenance, ensuring full compliance
- Lead electrical projects from planning to completion, managing contractors and consultants
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, CAD drawings, and service standards
- Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and sustainability
- Train, coach, and support site personnel to build capability and strengthen safety awareness
About you You’re an experienced Electrical Engineer with strong technical capability and a commitment to safe, reliable operations. You enjoy improving systems, solving problems, and working at pace in a dynamic industrial environment. You’ll bring
- A BE (Electrical), industrial site experience, and professional engineering membership
- Strong skills in electrical design, installation, maintenance, HV systems, and automation/control
- Solid knowledge of electrical safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent project management, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Confident communication skills, with the ability to coach, collaborate, and influence
- Experience in Pulp & Paper and AutoCAD proficiency (advantageous but not essential)
