The Role:
We are seeking an experienced electricity distribution industry professional to join our Network Overhead Design team on a full-time, permanent basis. In this role you will be responsible for completing line design, reconfiguring customer connections at the point of rebuild, cost estimation, customer liaison, shared on-property lines and private transformer poles, and when necessary, private line work.
Got what it takes?
- New Zealand Electrical Qualification or Bachelor Engineering and equivalent industry experience.
- 2-5 years previous experience with planning, design, or construction of an overhead distribution network.
- Electricity industry safety and compliance knowledge.
- A comprehensive understanding of New Zealand’s electricity distribution industry.
- Flexibility and an ability to adapt to changing requirements.
- Ability to deal with people from all levels within the business as well as customers and landowners.
- Cost estimation skills.
- Ability to produce, read and interpret plans, drawings and diagrams, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Relevant computing and software skills.
- Full New Zealand Class 1 Drivers Licence.
