The Role:

We are seeking an experienced electricity distribution industry professional to join our Network Overhead Design team on a full-time, permanent basis. In this role you will be responsible for completing line design, reconfiguring customer connections at the point of rebuild, cost estimation, customer liaison, shared on-property lines and private transformer poles, and when necessary, private line work.

Got what it takes?

• New Zealand Electrical Qualification or Bachelor Engineering and equivalent industry experience.
• 2-5 years previous experience with planning, design, or construction of an overhead distribution network.
• Electricity industry safety and compliance knowledge.
• A comprehensive understanding of New Zealand’s electricity distribution industry.
• Flexibility and an ability to adapt to changing requirements.
• Ability to deal with people from all levels within the business as well as customers and landowners.
• Cost estimation skills.
• Ability to produce, read and interpret plans, drawings and diagrams, with a high level of attention to detail.
• Relevant computing and software skills.
• Full New Zealand Class 1 Drivers Licence.
