Electrical Designer – New Plymouth

About the Role
We are seeking an Electrical Designer to undertake the design and draughting of electrical, HVAC, fire, and security building services for prefabricated plantroom projects. This role also involves managing the design process from project award through to completion, working closely with
the prefabricated plantroom team to ensure high-quality, timely outcomes.

The Opportunity
We are looking to appoint a full-time Electrical Designer to
join our rapidly growing prefabricated plantroom team. The role is primarily
focused on the electrical design aspects of the plantroom manufacturing process
and includes:
- Preparing electrical design documentation and work packs
- Assisting the engineering team during project delivery
- Interpreting and applying electrical specifications
- Supporting quality control and client coordination activities
This position combines technical expertise with strong organisational and communication skills.
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Proven experience in electrical building services design and draughting
- An Electrical qualification would be looked upon favourably
- Exceptional attention to detail
- A high level of literacy and numeracy
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and experience in MS Project would be an advantage
- Good communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- A commitment to promoting Entec’s health, safety, and quality culture
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
Remuneration and Location
Remuneration will be offered by way of a competitive salary, commensurate with qualifications, experience, and the additional skills you bring to the business. This position is based at our modern, purpose built, New Plymouth manufacturing facility.
