Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity to grow your career as a Team Leader for our Electrical Fitter team based in Paeroa working across the Powerco network.
You will plan, schedule, manage and coordinate the crews, subcontractors, plant and equipment and be responsible for the provision of construction and maintenance on all Distribution network equipment and installations in the field.
As a proven leader and experienced Electrical Fitter in the power distribution industry, you will quickly gain the respect of your crews and credibility with our clients. Your ability to communicate technical information and develop rapport will allow you to maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
You will have proven ability to monitor performance, motivate your team to deliver within timeframes and budgets with a focus on quality and safety.
Demonstrating natural leadership skills, you'll enjoy coaching team members and become a valued mentor to assist your people in their career development and to deliver results for our customers.
Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills
Essential
- Relevant EWRB Electrical Fitter Registration and current practising licence
- Minimum 2 years' experience in the Distribution industry, ideally with supervisory experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Current Class 1 driver's licence (car)
- Sound knowledge of the Safety Manual Electricity Industry (SMEI) and Safe practices for Low Voltage Electrical Work

- Faults Experience

- Class 2/4 licence
