Aluminium Welder and Fabricator

NZ Louvres Ltd is a New Zealand-owned manufacturer of premium aluminium louvre roof systems, known for quality, innovation, and precision. We’re a small, friendly, and easy-going team that takes pride in producing a high-end product. Our factory is based in Cambridge.

The Role This is a hands-on role focused on aluminium welding and fabrication, producing high-quality components for our louvre systems.

You’ll work across a variety of tasks, with the opportunity to learn and operate machinery including our CNC waterjet. For the right person, there is also scope to grow into planning or leadership responsibilities over time.

Key Responsibilities

• Aluminium welding (MIG/TIG preferred)
• Fabrication and assembly
• Reading and working from plans
• Operating workshop machinery
• Maintaining high workmanship standards

What You’ll Bring

• Proven aluminium welding experience
• Fabrication or metal industry background
• Ability to read plans
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented
• Physically fit
• Forklift licence (advantageous – training provided)
• Basic computer skills (advantageous)

Hours

• Monday to Friday (full-time)
