Griffin Marine is a leading marine service provider specialising in multi-disciplinary industrial services and project management. We work with a diverse range of clients, including prime defence contractors and commercial shipping companies. We are seeking experienced Industrial Painter / Blasters to join our growing Australian team. This role will initially focus on hands-on day-to-day duties, working closely with supervision and management to complete site contracts successfully. Projects are commencing April 2026 onwards and shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting using sanding, blasting or mechanical methods
• Apply paint and protective coatings using brush and roller techniques
• Ensure all work meets project specifications and quality standards
• Comply with safety protocols at all times
• Collaborate effectively with team members on assigned projects

Skills & Experience

• Experienced in industrial or commercial painting
• Marine, Engineering, or Defence Industry experience (desirable)
• Solid understanding of safety protocols and PPE requirements in industrial settings
• Physically capable of performing manual labour and demanding tasks
• Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively on-site

Qualifications & Mandatory Requirements

• Minimum two years’ painting experience or Trade certificate in Surface preparation
• OHS Construction Induction White Card (essential)
• Valid Driver’s Licence
• Must be able to hold and obtain an Australian National Police Clearance
• Successful candidates must complete a pre-employment medical including: Drug & Alcohol screening and Audiometry. Highly Regarded: Confined Space Entry | Fire Sentry Training
