Experienced CNC Machinist

Precision Workz Engineering Ltd is a well-established engineering company specializing in repair, maintenance, and manufacturing services across a variety of industries, including marine, industrial, and commercial sectors. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team based in the Bay of Plenty.

Role Overview: As a CNC Machinist, you will play a key role in manufacturing components for a wide range of equipment and machinery, including port-based machinery, commercial and private vessels, quarry equipment, you will also be involved in the production of specialized components for our own manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Precision machining of components and machinery
• Programming and setting of various machines (Fanuc & Heidenhain)
• Have an eye for detail and a drive for precision
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards at all times
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop

Skills and Experience Required:

• Proven experience in precision cnc machining and programming
• Strong understanding of technical drawings and the ability to work independently
• Ability to select the correct tools and supporting data
• Valid Class 1 driver’s license; F-endorsement is an advantage
• Flexibility to work extended hours as required (penal rates apply)
• A strong commitment to health and safety practices

• High standards of professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail
• Ability to adapt to varying work environments and client needs

Additional Requirements:

• Pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening will be conducted
• Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or hold permanent residency with a clean criminal record
