Maintenance Engineer Our client is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to keep a modern, sustainability-focused production plant running smoothly across rotating shifts. You’ll be part of a mission-driven organisation creating innovative, environmentally friendly materials through science, engineering, and forward-thinking technology.
About the role: You’ll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation. This includes attending breakdowns, completing preventive maintenance, supporting machinery installations, fabricating parts as needed, and maintaining accurate maintenance records. You’ll work within a rotating shift pattern and be part of a supportive team focused on innovation and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities:
- Diagnosing and repairing plant and machinery breakdowns
- Completing planned and preventative maintenance tasks
- Fabricating or manufacturing parts when required
- Supporting the installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Accurately maintaining logs, records, and compliance documentation
- Working rotating shifts (2 weeks 7am–3pm, 1 week 2pm–10pm)
- Maintaining strong Health & Safety standards at all times
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance
- Strong mechanical skills; electrical experience is an advantage
- Practical and solutions-focused approach
- Strong safety mindset and attention to detail
- Comfortable working rotating shifts
- Reliable, proactive, and a positive team player
