Maintenance Supervisor Transmission
Our Transmission team is looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor with strong leadership skills to develop and act as a role model and mentor the team in the Waikato area. Our supervisors are responsible for the safety and compliance of their teams, effectively and efficiently managing jobs and motivating their teams to deliver positive outcomes for clients and customers.
About The Role: Reporting to the Delivery Manager- Maintenance and Faults, as the Maintenance Supervisor, youll be responsible for managing the forward work planning of the team and equipment resources to achieve delivery of the contract and commercial outcomes and engage in fault callouts as well as switching tasks.
Based in Hamilton, you will:
- Manage and lead a crew to deliver works safely, qualitatively, effectively and efficiently
- Provide technical support , scoping and planning as required
- Ensure that jobs are unit rated and priced correctly
- Provide guidance on interpreting technical drawings and standards
- Perform competent audits and quality checks, including with Transpower auditors
- Effectively manage people and productivity within your team
- Supervise field staff onsite by ensuring they are competent and confident to deliver their work
- Provide guidance and technical expertise to drive team performance and ensure both office and field staff are getting training and development as needed

About You: To be successful in this role you will display strong people skills, customer focus and lead a high-performing team who work in office and field sites. You will be able to manage challenging situations in a calm, mature manner and role model safety, quality guidelines and practices consistently. We're looking for an individual who can demonstrate:
- Relevant trade qualification and current Practising Licence as an Electrician with an EWRB registration
- Proven Maintenance experience
- The ability to motivate, mentor and lead your team to success demonstrating integrity and trust
- Ability to pro-actively promote a safety culture in line with legislation and company procedures ; deliver positive outcomes without compromising Health, Safety, Quality and the Environment (HSQE)
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience working in a multi-cultural environment
- A strategic thinker with the ability to solve problems and make decisions
- Experience working within High Voltage Substations is advantageous
- Knowledge of relevant Codes of Practice, Policies, Standards, Work Procedures, Legislative requirements and the relevant parts of the Safe Manual Electricity Industry and Current Work Place Competency
