We’re looking for an experienced Foreman to help lead and coordinate day-to-day operations on site and in the workshop. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on planning work, supporting the team, and keeping jobs running smoothly.
As Foreman, you’ll play a key role in how work is organised and delivered. You’ll be responsible for coordinating people and workflow, planning daily and weekly activities, and making sound decisions to keep projects on track. You’ll work closely with management and other supervisors, communicate progress clearly, and identify potential issues early. Safety, quality, and professional behaviour are a consistent priority in everything you do.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate crews on a day-to-day basis
- Set priorities and allocate work effectively
- Ensure jobs are ready to start (drawings, materials, access, and planning)
- Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed
- Support team members and address issues early
- Maintain safety standards and address unsafe work immediately
- Communicate clearly with management about progress and upcoming risks
About You You’ll bring:
- Experience in an engineering or fabrication environment
- A solid understanding of how engineering work is planned and delivered
- Experience coordinating people, teams, or jobs
- Clear, practical communication skills
- A calm, fair, and respectful leadership style
- An organised approach and willingness to take responsibility
Formal trade qualifications are not essential — practical engineering experience and strong people skills are what matter most.
