Modular Conveyors Limited is a well-respected company designing and manufacturing a range of products within the materials handling industry. In this role MCL provides solutions and products to a targeted customer base for conveyor applications.
Based on the North Shore of Auckland, MCL is looking to take on a Mid-High Level experienced designer to join our design department. This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and see projects through from concept to final build.
It is envisaged the ideal applicant will:
- Hold a relevant mechanical or engineering qualification at Bachelor level or above.
- 5 years of practical experience in drafting & 3D modelling experience (Solidworks).
- Have sound mechanical engineering knowledge
- Be conversant with standard Microsoft products
- Have excellent verbal & written English and communication skills
- Be inquisitive and focused on accuracy
- Have excellent time management skills
- Be able to work within a tightly knit team
The successful applicant would be responsible for design/drafting of conveyors, components and other associated equipment. There is an element of customer liaison and potential for project management work for the correct applicant. The ability to communicate with the manufacturing workshop to ensure the product(s) meet specification and quality requirements is critical in this role.
