An opportunity is available for a Graduate or Junior NPI Engineer to join a growing manufacturing environment and gain hands-on experience supporting products from design through to production. This role is ideal for a recent engineering graduate or someone with up to two years’ experience who is keen to build practical skills in new product introduction, manufacturing support, and continuous improvement.
About the Role Working alongside experienced engineers and production teams, you’ll help introduce new and existing products into manufacturing. You’ll gain exposure to real-world engineering challenges, learning how designs are tested, documented, improved, and brought into stable production. This role offers strong development for engineers who enjoy combining technical problem-solving with hands-on collaboration on the factory floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Support new product introduction activities from design through to manufacturing
- Assist with product transfer into production and ongoing production support
- Contribute to design for manufacture and test (DFM / DFT) activities
- Assist with testing, verification, and investigation of technical issues
- Help maintain engineering documentation, test plans, and work instructions
- Support risk management activities such as DFMEA and root cause analysis
- Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing
- Learn and apply sustainability and environmental considerations in product and process decisions
About You You’re a motivated early-career engineer who is keen to learn, asks questions, and enjoys working as part of a team in a practical manufacturing environment. You’ll ideally have:
- A recent degree or qualification in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics, or related Engineering field
- Up to 2 years’ experience in engineering, manufacturing, NPI, or a similar technical role (graduates encouraged to apply)
- Experience with 3D modelling and 3D Printing - SolidWorks
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- An interest in how products are made and tested in a production setting
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications
- Good written and verbal communication skills
