Mechanical Fitter/Fabricator

Mechanical Fitter/Fabricator sought for a great career role with a renowned engineering workshop in Hamilton.

What they offer:

• Good hourly wage rate, and a variety of interesting projects
• 40 hours over 4.5 days per week, so Friday afternoons off!
• Overtime when available.

This permanent position is with an established New Zealand owned, workshop based engineering company, in Hamilton They are renowned for developing their staff, working on a variety of projects for both domestic and international clients, and making one-off/bespoke component parts and machines.

As an experienced Mechanical Fitter/Fabricator, you will be adept at:

• Fitting, fabricating, working in a workshop, and installing machinery parts and equipment.
• Using Lathes, milling machines, saws, grinders and drills.
• Interpret engineering drawings and hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.

You will have:

• Trade Cert in Fitting/Fabricating/Turning &/or over 5 year’s relevant workshop experience
• Problem solving skills, a keen eye for detail, be practical, with a very high standard of work.
• A strong work ethic and enjoy being part of a highly motivated & collaborative team.

This is an excellent Mechanical Fitter/Fabricator role within a company that looks after it's staff, is conscious of developing their career, and has the benefit of a great reputation and ongoing repeat client business to keep it's staff busy.
