Fabricator / Welder – Workshop Based | Ongoing Work Opportunity

Tradestaff Mt Wellington is looking for a skilled Fabricator/Welder to support our client’s increasing demand within their growing workshop. With an exciting new project about to kick off, we are seeking an experienced tradesperson to join the team and help prepare fabricated components ready for installation on site. This is a workshop-based role offering consistent hours and ongoing work for the right person.

The Role You will be responsible for fabricating and welding components in the workshop that will be supplied to the site installation team. The work will primarily involve MIG welding, with Flux core experience considered a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• MIG welding on fabrication projects
• Fabricating metal components for upcoming site installations
• Reading and interpreting plans and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication
• Preparing materials and components to specification
• Working closely with the workshop team to meet project timelines
• Maintaining high quality and safety standards

Skills & Experience

• Proven fabrication and welding experience
• Strong MIG welding skills
• Flux core welding experience is advantageous
• Ability to confidently read and interpret plans/blueprints
• High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a team
• Strong health and safety awareness
