CNC Programmer/Operator

Our client, a well-established manufacturer of timber products, based in Tauranga is looking for an experienced CNC Operator / Programmer.

The Role

This is a onsite, full-time permanent position working Monday to Friday within a busy manufacturing environment.

Duties include

Operating, programming, and maintaining CNC machinery, including 5-axis equipment. Following training, you will be expected to independently set up, load, operate, and programme machines to meet production requirements.

Duties include:

• Operating and programming CNC machinery
• Reading and interpreting drawings and job sheets
• Monitoring machine performance and troubleshooting issues
• Carrying out routine maintenance and quality checks
• Working to production deadlines and customer timeframes
• Maintaining a safe and organised workspace

What We’re Looking For

• Proven CNC operating and programming experience
• 5-axis CNC experience for wood cutting applications highly regarded
• Morbidelli CNC equipment big plus
• Experience with Maesto CAD SW
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Physically fit and comfortable in a hands-on role
• Must hold full working rights in New Zealand
