Welder Fabricator

Garland Engineering 2020 Limited is a well-established company with two workshops located in Matamata and Tokoroa.

The Role: We are seeking a full-time welder fabricator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone ready to start ASAP. Based in our Matamata workshop, this role involves repairs on a range of machinery, new builds, truck and trailer maintenance, LT400 repairs, general engineering and more. 

Skills Required:

·         To work independently and efficiently to achieve time frames and quality

·         Attention to detail and precision in measurement and fabrication

·         Able to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings

·         Ability to pass AS/NZ Weld tests

·         Commitment to health and safety

·         Motivated and keen to be a part of hardworking team

Experience & Qualifications:

·         Trade Qualified (Heavy Fab Level 4) - Not a must but at least 4+ years trade experience

·         Relevant work experience on MIG & ARC welding (MIG alloy would be an advantage)

·         Hold a current NZ driver's license (Restricted Minimum)

What we offer:

·         Guaranteed 40 hours per week with overtime as required

·         Competitive hourly rate (Based on proven experience and skills)

·         Overtime rates for Saturday work when the workload demands
