We are recruiting for a NZQA Level 4 qualified Water Serviceperson to join a highly respected client with an excellent workplace culture. This is a long-term opportunity working on Council water assets, where safety, teamwork, and quality workmanship are genuinely valued.
What You'll Be Doing
- Working on water reticulation networks, including repairs, renewals, and new connections
- Maintaining and upgrading Council-owned water assets to required standards
- Responding to planned maintenance and reactive fault work
- Carrying out trenching, pipe laying, repairs, and reinstatement
- Reading and working to plans, Council specifications, and compliance requirements
- Completing job documentation and asset records
- Working as part of a supportive, high-performing team with a strong safety culture
What You Need
- NZQA Level 4 qualification in Water (essential)
- Proven experience in water reticulation
- Demonstrated experience working on Council assets
- Good understanding of water safety, standards, and procedures
- Ability to work independently and within a crew environment
- Full Class 1 licence (Class 2 an advantage)
- Reliable, professional attitude with strong communication skills
