Water Serviceperson

We are recruiting for a NZQA Level 4 qualified Water Serviceperson to join a highly respected client with an excellent workplace culture. This is a long-term opportunity working on Council water assets, where safety, teamwork, and quality workmanship are genuinely valued.

What You'll Be Doing

• Working on water reticulation networks, including repairs, renewals, and new connections
• Maintaining and upgrading Council-owned water assets to required standards
• Responding to planned maintenance and reactive fault work
• Carrying out trenching, pipe laying, repairs, and reinstatement
• Reading and working to plans, Council specifications, and compliance requirements
• Completing job documentation and asset records
• Working as part of a supportive, high-performing team with a strong safety culture

What You Need

• NZQA Level 4 qualification in Water (essential)
• Proven experience in water reticulation
• Demonstrated experience working on Council assets
• Good understanding of water safety, standards, and procedures
• Ability to work independently and within a crew environment
• Full Class 1 licence (Class 2 an advantage)
• Reliable, professional attitude with strong communication skills
