Facilities & Programmes Lead Manager

Wharenui Sports & Recreation Centre is a community-focused aquatic and recreation facility supporting swimming, sport, and wellbeing across Christchurch.

About the role of Facilities & Programmes Lead Manager.

You will be responsible for:

· Daily operation of the aquatic and recreation facilities

· Health & safety, water quality, and regulatory compliance

· Facility scheduling, bookings, and programme coordination

· Leading facility and programme staff

· Managing contractors, maintenance, and assets

· Working closely with the Swimming Club, schools, and community groups

This role works alongside the Committee, with a clear focus on operations rather than governance.

About you

You will bring:

· Experience in facilities, recreation, aquatic or community sport environments

· Strong organisational and people leadership skills

· A practical, hands-on approach to operations

· Confidence working with diverse stakeholders

· Sound judgement, professionalism, and common sense

· Knowledge of Xero accounting software advantageous
