An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our happy team. We are a nurse-led General Practice in Blenheim requiring an experienced manager to support us in the next phase of growing our business. Our staff includes general practitioners, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, a HIP, health coach and a dedicated and friendly administration team. Our vision is to create a practice which is welcoming and innovative. Our aim is to provide quality health care in a supportive team environment.
About the Role
The position will be for 25 hours per week (0.625FTE) and will increase as the practice grows. The role of Practice Manager will require you to be involved in all aspects of helping to grow and run the practice in partnership with the business owners. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the practice including financial management, human resources and supporting staff as well as clients. Quality improvement and ensuring the practice meets legal operational requirements will be an integral part of your role.
Skills and experience
Previous small business management experience or senior administrative experience including leadership and financial management is essential for this role. Experience in General Practice or health sector management is highly desirable. The successful candidate will be computer literate with experience in IT networks and should have a sound knowledge of employment legislation. The ability to learn on the job and to demonstrate leadership in a fast paced and often unpredictable environment is critical.
