Position: Area Manager Location: Hamilton (with regular travel to Wellington) Salary: $55,000 – $70,000 (Negotiable based on experience)
We are seeking an experienced area manager to join our specialised team that repairs damaged residential properties, including homes contaminated with hazardous illegal substances. This is a permanent position offering a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week, with regular opportunities for additional hours to further enhance your earnings.
Key responsibilities include overseeing the recruitment, supervision, and training of staff, managing project planning and execution, and ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations. The role also involves budget oversight, selecting and coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining strong relationships with local authorities and regulatory agencies.
The successful applicant will be based in Hamilton but must be willing to travel frequently between Hamilton and Wellington, including overnight stays. Strong communication skills in English are essential.
To be considered for this role, applicants must hold a recognised management qualification and have a clean full driver’s licence.
