ABOUT THE ROLE - NGĀ ĀHUATANGA O TE TŪRANGA
As our Senior Business Enablement Officer, you will play a key role in enabling the smooth and effective operation of Council services by providing high‑quality, senior‑level administrative and business support across the organisation.
You will assist in providing day‑to‑day expert technical assistance and mentorship to Business Enablement Officers (particularly on more complex matters) to ensure best practice service delivery that exceeds stakeholder expectations.
Other key aspects of the role include:
- Providing advanced administrative and technical support to internal and external customers
- Assisting with workflow coordination, escalation of complex matters, and operational problem‑solving
- Proactively contributing to process improvement, quality assurance, and system optimisation

We are looking for an experienced administrative professional looking to take their first step into a leadership role who enjoys supporting others, seeking opportunities for improvement and thrives in a customer‑focused environment.
You will bring:
- Proven experience in a senior administrative or business support role
- Knowledge of local government operations and relevant legislation
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- The ability to manage competing priorities and remain calm under pressure
- Clear, confident communication skills and a collaborative approach
