Healthcare Assistant - Casual

Location: West Auckland

Hours of work: Casual on-call (confirmed prior to each assignment)

About the role:

As a Healthcare Assistant for R-Connect, you will be deployed to complete temporary assignments across various aged care facilities in this region. Note: Radius Care cannot support work visas/visa changes for casual HCAs.

As this is a casual role, you will be prompted when a temp vacancy is available, and you can accept based on your availability. You need to be a New Zealand Citizen/Resident, or have open work conditions. You must have a current NZ Driver's License.

Duties include:

• Reporting to the charge nurse and completing delegated tasks in a timely manner
• Residents' personal care tasks, i.e. hygiene, grooming, toileting, shaving, brushing of teeth and hair
• Mobilising residents

Skills and Experience: -New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 3 or 4 (or equivalent) -Aged care experience required -People skills with empathy for the elderly and their families -Good written and verbal communication skills -Flexibility to work on a rostered shift basis
