About the role

Lead a meaningful activities programme that supports residents' wellbeing, independence, and connection. You'll work closely with the Facility Manager, care team, residents, and families. Ideally, you'll have Diversional Therapy experience or a relevant qualification.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging group and one-to-one activities
  • Adapt programmes to residents' abilities, interests, and needs
  • Encourage participation and social connection
  • Support outings, events, and community involvement
  • Maintain simple activity records and documentation

Skills & experience

You'll be successful if you have:

  • NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
  • Experience in activities, aged care, recreation, or community work
  • A creative, positive, and compassionate approach
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Diversional Therapy qualification or experience (advantage)
