About the Role – Mō te Tūranga

Banbury Park Care Centre is looking for an experienced full-time Healthcare Assistant to join our growing team! This role includes working a minimum of 32 hours per week, on a 7-day rotating roster. This will include weekend work. Pay rate for this role is between $28 - $30.25 an hour.

You’ll provide best-practice, individualised healthcare to our Rest Home and Hospital-level residents. This role is hands-on and varied, ensuring residents receive the highest standard of care and support every day.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering care in line with individual care plans and resident notes
• Maintaining knowledge and practice in accordance with training, policies, and procedures
• Accurately identifying, documenting, and reporting changes in residents’ conditions to senior staff
• Completing timely and comprehensive documentation using our Qestral-developed clinical software
• Participating in annual competency reviews to ensure best practice
• Supporting Infection Prevention and Control strategies, including correct use of PPE
• Taking part in Health and Safety drills, training, and safety techniques.

About You – Ngā Kōrero Mōu

You’ll bring:

• A recognised Healthcare Assistant qualification (minimum NZ Level 4 or equivalent) OR at least 3 years’ experience in the healthcare industry. Aged care experience would also be advantageous
• Excellent communication skills and a caring, professional approach
• Confidence working in a sole-charge position overnight at the lodge
• Motivation to be a valued team member and deliver a high standard of service and support for our residents
