Description

Permanent 45 hours a fortnight all afternoon shifts

  • 3pm-11pm for all shifts
  • Week One: Friday, Saturday, Sunday
  • Week Two: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Pay rate of between $24.08 and $30.00 per hour depending on your qualifications and experience.

Te mahi angitu - The opportunity

Based at their homes in a complex in Christchurch, you will help empower our clients to access their community, and achieve independence, inclusion, and quality of life after a brain injury. You will work as part of a small team, providing support to our clients. Experience preferred but not essential.

Ko wai koe - About you

  • Have at least two to three years experience of support work and working with people with disabilities
  • Able to communicate effectively
  • Have a keen interest in helping others
  • Be able to work in partnership with our clients
  • Be able to maximise the independence of our clients whilst encouraging choice, initiation, and participation in activities
  • Have the ability to demonstrate efficient time management and the ability to work autonomously and be part of a team
  • Have a full driver's licence
  • Have a keen interest in cooking
  • Willing to work within the mission, vision, and values of the organisation

Through a full continuum of assessment, rehabilitation and support services delivered when and where they are needed, our highly skilled interdisciplinary team work with our clients and their families/whanau to develop individualised strategies that equip them to find new pathways through life.
