Positions: These are casual positions, working on an as and when required basis At MASH Trust, we believe great support workers are good humans first — kind, calm under pressure, and able to truly connect with others. If you're someone who naturally shows up for people, listens deeply, and brings warmth to every interaction, you might be exactly who we're looking for. As a Support Worker in the Supported Independent Living (SIL) team, you'll walk alongside people in their day-to-day lives — supporting them to build confidence, make choices, connect with others, and live as independently as possible. Some days that means going for a walk, supporting at appointments, or celebrating a small but powerful win.

We're Looking For Someone With:

  • A Passion for People: Be patient, friendly, and kind, with the ability to understand, communicate, and genuinely connect with people
  • Empathy & Understanding: An understanding of Enabling Good Lives principles.
  • Team Player: Professional, honest, and a reliable team-player with a flexible mindset.
  • Practical Skills: The ability to carry out personal cares, including showering and dressing.
  • Driver Licence: A Full NZ Driver Licence is essential, as is your own vehicle to transport those you are supporting, we reimburse mileage
  • Previous Experience: Work or lived experience preferrable
