We are looking for a part-time Support Worker in Nelson for our Whanau Support Services.

You will support people in their home and community to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives, helping them achieve their personal dreams and goals by doing the things they want to do such as going swimming, attending sporting events, arts and crafts, movies, or shopping.

- People who are passionate about helping others, are kind and understanding
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, including experience working with youth
- Full driver's licence and owning your own vehicle is essential
- A desire to support people to learn new skills and achieve outcomes
- Someone who has the initiative to encourage people towards their goals, is energetic, outgoing, and can think outside the box
- Respect for others' thinking and ways of living that may be different from your own
Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness are important in this role, as the people we support come from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and interests.
