Positions: These are casual positions, working on an as and when required basis. We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and motivated Casual Support Workers to join our team in Lower Hutt. You will demonstrate resilience, and the ability to remain calm, empathetic, and professional in challenging situations. As a casual worker, you will have the freedom to pick up shifts that suit your lifestyle while supporting individuals with disabilities to live independently and thrive. This position is not for everyone, but for those that thrive on helping others and want to make a difference in people's lives then this job is for you!
Skills and Experience:
- Driver Licence: A Full NZ Driver Licence is essential, as driving a MASH van will be part of your role.
- A Passion for People: Be patient, friendly, and kind, with the ability to understand, communicate, and genuinely connect with people
- Empathy & Understanding: An understanding of Enabling Good Lives principles.
- Team Player: Professional, honest, and a reliable team-player with a flexible mindset.
- Practical Skills: Assisting with personal cares, including showering and dressing, and grooming.
- Household Management: Helping with cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
- Previous experience: At least 12 months experience working in the Healthcare Sector
