About the role

As an Admissions Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in supporting potential residents and their families through the aged care admission process at Ryman Healthcare. You’ll guide them through financial requirements, coordinate admission details, and ensure all legislative and company standards are met. This role is all about creating a smooth, positive experience for residents while building strong relationships with families, community referrers, and the village team. You’ll also maintain accurate records, assist with village presentation, and be a friendly, approachable presence for residents.

This is a fixed term position commencing late January for four months, working Monday to Friday 0900 - 1600. This role will be based at Edmund Hillary Retirement Village in Remuera with the role covering both Edmund Hillary and Grace Joel Retirement Village, St Heliers.

About You

• Strong financial acumen – confident with numbers and able to explain financial processes clearly and empathetically.
• Previous experience in aged care or healthcare – understanding the unique needs of residents and families.
• Excellent communication skills – building trust and positive relationships with residents, families, and community partners.
• Organisational skills – managing paperwork, coordinating admissions, and ensuring everything runs smoothly.
• Computer literacy – comfortable using systems to maintain accurate records and process admissions.
• A proactive, approachable attitude – ready to support residents and families throughout their journey
