About the Role
We have an exciting role available for a part-time (0.6FTE), Senior Role for a New Zealand registered Speech-language Therapist (SLT) to join our Community Rehabilitation (CoRe) team. This is a progressive, specialist, interdisciplinary service for assessment and rehabilitation for adults within Te Toka Tumai|Aucklands Community and Long-Term Conditions Directorate.
This role will also work collaboratively with other SLTs in our Community Allied Health team. Being part of our community team, we also offer training and development opportunities for video fluoroscopy. This role is supported by SLT Practice Supervisor. This role allows you to:
- Undertake a clinical caseload providing comprehensive and evidence-based care in rehabilitation
- Work alongside your CoRe and wider Allied Health and Nursing colleagues using an interdisciplinary model to deliver high quality and effective services
- Potential to incorporate clinical education and clinical leadership components
- Contribute to quality and service improvements and development of team members and students as well as themselves
- On the job training with continuous improvement and development opportunities including a well-established in-service training programme.

About the Team/Service/ Location
Our Community Rehabilitation (CoRe) Team are a team of SLTs, PTs, OTs and Psychologists, who provide intensive, evidence-based and individualised rehabilitation, primarily for people discharging from hospital following a recent medical event and significant change in level of function. We have a strong inter-disciplinary focus and value collaborative working. We deliver rehabilitation in a flexible, client centred way in the community, clients home, our clinic / gym, telehealth, and in groups settings.
Our team works across two sites; Greenlane Clinical Centre and Kahui Marino (Point Chevalier).

About you
To be successful, you will need to have the following skills and attributes:
- Registered member of the New Zealand Speech-Language Therapists Association (NZSTA) with current Annual Practicing Certificate
- At least 6 years of post-graduate experience as a Speech-Language Therapist including a minimum of 2 years within the area of specialty * Community setting experience, desired
- Full and current NZ Drivers licence
- At least Level 2 in VFSS competencies
- An understanding of bicultural issues and commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi
- Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professional groups in an interdisciplinary setting
- Effective time management, prioritisation and organisation skills
- Drive, energy and initiative with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
