About the Role

We're looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Senior Support Staff member to join our residential team in Wigram, supporting people with learning disabilities to live fulfilling, independent lives in a safe, warm, and home-like environment.

This is a relationship-based role where you'll have the time to truly get to know the people you support. Your day will include a mix of practical assistance and meaningful connection, such as:

  • Supporting daily routines (shopping, meal preparation, household tasks)
  • Providing personal care respectfully and safely
  • Supporting community activities and outings
  • Encouraging independence, choice, and wellbeing
  • Provide support, encouragement and guidance to other support staff

If you're experienced in disability support and building a long-term career in the sector, we'd love to hear from you.

About You

Ideally, you'll have a NZ Certificate in Health & Wellbeing (Level 3 or above) or equivalent.

You'll also bring:

  • A positive, respectful attitude toward supporting people with learning disabilities
  • Experience providing disability support
  • A full New Zealand driver's licence (essential)
  • Eagerness to continue learning and developing as a Support Staff member
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Reliability and a genuine interest in people-centred care
