Community Mental Health Addiction Services
Fixed term position from 20/04/26 to 20/10/26 (40 hours per week)

About the Role
This position requires you to have several essential skills and knowledge requirements beyond the normal relevant tertiary qualification, NZ registration with a professional body and current Annual Practicing Certificate. To be considered you will need to have:
- experience in alcohol and other drug co-existing presentation
- the ability to demonstrate high levels of clinical knowledge in the OST programme, psychiatric and addiction medications and the management of risk
- experience working with case load management,
- experience in assessment of tangata whaiora with co-existing problems
- delivering clinical and psychosocial care in a variety of community settings
- proven practical experience as a registered health professional in mental health and addiction clinical settings, adult addiction and co existing problems in mental health
- high levels of communication, customer relations and managing diversity skills, empathy and bi-cultural sensitivity
Competent computer skills in Microsoft word and ability to learn computer software packages quickly and a current clean driver's license are also required.
This position will suit someone with experience in working:
- as a member of an inter-disciplinary team as well as
- independently within community settings and have a high standard of oral communication and ability to organise and manage time.
