The Role | M****ō tēnei tūranga mahi

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm.

This role will involve working within the Ahikaroa Housing team. The community housing-based service has a strong focus on collaborating with other services to support transition, recovery, and wellness in the community.

This role is suited to a AOD practitioner, who would like to use their professional skills to make a difference in the housing and residential recovery space.

In this role you will work closely with key stakeholders to:

  • Identify and overcome barriers to accessing supported independent living.
  • Sustain and progress their living situation in line with their goals and aspirations.
  • Collaborate and navigate the social housing sector, with other community providers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with other community providers including mental health and addiction services.
  • Provide clinical oversight support for staff and Kiritaki.
  • Support Kiritaki with sustaining their tenancies in the community.
  • Support Kiritaki to live and thrive in their community.
  • Support with risk management.
  • Leading and facilitating meetings with internal staff and stakeholders.

About You | Mōu

We'd love to hear from Alcohol and Drug Practitioners with a range of experience in the mental health and social sectors, ideally with experience in the social housing sector.

In addition, we are looking for someone with:

  • A current Annual Practicing Certificate and current registration with DAPAANZ
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills, who can quickly build credibility while showcasing sound problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • An ability to work at a fast pace, and flourish under pressure.
  • Cultural awareness and a commitment to supporting Māori and Pasifika whānau
  • Excellent attention to detail and proficiency in record keeping.
  • Knowledge of and demonstrable commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi principles.
  • A full New Zealand driving license.
