Description

  • Waikato Hospital
  • Permanent part time 0.8 FTE - 64 hours per fortnight
  • Rostered shifts - Wednesdays to Fridays and every 2nd Saturday Sunday

About the Role

You will be:

  • Providing support to both the Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy acute teams at Waikato Hospital.
  • Supervising patients with their exercise programme as prescribed by a qualified Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist.
  • Helping patients to regain their independence with activities of daily living following medical illness/surgery.
  • Ordering equipment such as walking aids and ADL equipment and educating patients on its use.
  • Assisting occupational therapists and physiotherapists with patient manual handling.

You will need to have:

  • A current full NZ drivers licence.
