Job Title: Podiatry Assistant - Jessica Dobbs Podiatry Location: Hamilton, Waikato, New Zealand

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Podiatry Assistant. This part-time position offers flexible hours, making it an ideal opportunity for someone looking to work around child commitments and school hours. If you possess a background in healthcare, a genuine care for people, a willingness to provide foot care for those in the community, and a full drivers license, we invite you to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Assist podiatrists in delivering high-quality foot care to elderly, in rest homes, and high-needs patients
• Carry out mobile foot care services in clients homes across the Waikato region as directed in consultation with a podiatrist.
• Maintain accurate records of client visits and care
• Adhere to all safety and hygiene protocols
• Provide compassionate care to patients with dementia, long-term injuries, and other high-needs conditions
• Manage appointment schedules and ensure timely service delivery
• Work collaboratively as part of a compassionate healthcare team
• Utilize basic technology for record-keeping and communication

Requirements:

• A full driver's license is mandatory
• A background in healthcare, aged care or nail care is preferable
• A compassionate, empathetic, patient, and caring demeanor
• Excellent time management, communication and problem-solving skills and an eye for detail
• Basic technology competence
• An ability to work well in a team and independently on tasks
• Passed criminal background checks including drug and alcohol screening
• Willing to do ongoing study to gain suitable skills and qualifications for the role
