About the Role
You will have the opportunity to work within the General Surgery ward providing support and assistance to the multi-disciplinary team caring for patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures pre and post operatively. This includes step down HDU/ICU and trauma patients. The successful applicant will be flexible, with good prioritisation and time management skills.
Key responsibilities:
- Attend to patient needs with compassion and diligence.
- Assist and support Registered Nurses with delegated tasks to provide optimal patient care.
- Ensure smooth patient flow.
- Maintain a clean environment for both patients and staff.

About you
Skills and experience youll need to be considered for the role:
- Previous experience within a healthcare setting.
- Previous experience working in an acute setting within a New Zealand hospital as an HCA is desirable.
- Demonstrates an ability to be flexible and adaptable.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills and a solution focused attitude.
- Demonstrates prioritisation and problem solving skills.
