About the Role
We are seeking a passionate, committed Rheumatologist to join our dynamic, progressive, and multidisciplinary department at Rotorua and Taupo Hospitals.
Rheumatologist specialist functions include:
- Diagnosis and management of all rheumatology conditions,
- Inpatient consults and outpatient rheumatology care,
- Participation in regional rheumatology networks to enhance patient care,
- Active involvement in delivering chronic pain and fracture liaison services in Rotorua and Taupo.

About you
- Strong team player with a professional, energetic, and driven approach to work.
- Curious mind, self-motivated, and an active participant in ongoing improvement.
- Must be eligible for Specialist Vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
- An interest in further developing local specialist services to meet the needs of a rapidly growing and culturally diverse population.
- Actively participate in the education and training of undergraduate and postgraduate medical, nursing, and allied health staff.
