About the Role – Mō te Tūranga
Burlington is a premium lifestyle village located in Redwood, Christchurch for the “young at heart”.
In this full-time position, you will support our Activities Head of Department to create and implement a program of dynamic activities, run many TRILife fitness classes, drive one of our village buses on exciting outings across Canterbury, help to plan our monthly activities schedule and bi-monthly newsletter and run fabulous onsite events for our residents. Your goal is to keep our residents motivated, connected and fulfilled!
There will never be a dull day at Burlington, as every day is full of variety for our residents and our staff!
About You - Ngā Kōrero Mōu
· You are organised and highly motivated · Strong ability to relate to others, creative and interactive · Enjoy being part of a team but have the initiative and confidence to work alone · Upbeat, charismatic, resilient, and confident to lead a group or class (exercising, aquacise, yoga etc) · This role incorporates both on-site large-scale events, outings, a in house Travel Club and exercise programme, we are looking for someone with skills in these areas · Accuracy and high attention to detail · Have excellent communication skills, are proactive and can think on your feet · Great computer skills and experience using MS office suite and in house programs · Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as our activity program requires · Clean full New Zealand drivers’ licence is essential. A passenger endorsement an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided · You want to be a valued team member and can offer a high standard of service and support for our residents · And most importantly, can share in our core values - Ō Tātou Uara of vision, optimism, respect, equality and honesty, working effectively with people from a range of different cultures.
Hours/Days of work are Tuesday - Saturday 8.30am - 5pm
This role is a full time 8:30am – 5pm Tuesday to Saturday position with some late nights as our activity program requires. Perhaps you have a background in physical education, nutrition, events, tourism? We would love the hear from you!
