Thai Massage Therapist

The successful candidates should have;

• at least 1-year experience in Thai massage or
• a Thai Massage qualification of 150 hours or more can substitute for the required work experience

These positions are Thai massage therapists. You should be able to demonstrate your unique skills suitable for the positions. The job positions are as follows.

• Massaging the soft tissues of the body, such as muscles, tendons and ligaments, to assist healing utilising a range of Thai massage techniques.
• Administering treatments to promote relaxation, improve circulation and relieve muscle tension by apply finger and hand pressure to specific points of the body.
• Assessing and treating specific soft tissue dysfunction and providing rehabilitation advice.
• Apply other techniques, such as essential oils, herbal, hot stone and mineral therapies, to assist recovery.
• Provide clients with guidance and information about techniques for postural improvement and stretching, strengthening, relaxation, and rehabilitative exercises.
• Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the massage work areas, as directed by the facility owner.
• Perform therapeutic massage and facial treatment in accordance with best practice and as directed by the facility owner.
• Take responsibility for continued personal and professional development and contribute to the development of other staff in the department through sharing good practice via in-service training and inter-disciplinary working practices.
• Work with a positive attitude
• Obey all lawful instructions

We offer a market rate competitive wage ($28.00) for the right person. You will receive the wage payment weekly. Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid according to employment law.

The main promise will be at 361 Cobham Drive, Hamilton East, Hamilton, Waikato 3216. These are permanent and full-time positions with a minimum of 30 hours each week (a maximum of 48 hours). You will work according to a roaster 5-6 days per week between Monday to Sunday from 9.30 am – 8.00 pm.
