All about the job

We are seeking a customer focused, friendly person to work on Saturday afternoons (12:30 – 7:00pm) at Arena Fitness Centre. We also have a casual role available, with no fixed hours.

This role will embrace your passion for creating a fantastic customer experience and provide you with a dynamic and friendly team.

You will be responsible for:

  • carrying out fitness assessments and setting effective exercise programmes to assist our members to achieve their fitness goals
  • confirming new memberships and completing new member inductions
  • providing tours of the gym premises
  • ensuring our Arena Fitness Centre is tidy, well presented and operating at a high level
  • answering customer enquiries, and confirming membership
  • covering at reception
  • completing general administrative tasks including updating membership records and members files.

All about you

You will have worked in the health and fitness industry and will have completed some tertiary qualifications in Sport Exercise or Health and Fitness.

You'll need to show us that you:

  • have a tertiary qualification in Exercise Science or Health and Fitness at Level 4 Personal Training or higher
  • have great communication skills and thrive on motivating others to achieve their goals
  • have a current first aid certificate
  • have demonstrated initiative and are able work unsupervised and in a team
  • always provide a high level of customer service and communication skills
  • are a team player, and a willingness to pull together to get the work done.
