Be part of a values-driven team that genuinely makes a difference — apply now!

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, energetic and compassionate Residential House Manager to lead our home in Avonhead. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll guide, support, and motivate a team to deliver high-quality, person-centred support.

You will embody Hawksbury's values and lead by example — working alongside your team to support residents with personal cares, household tasks, and their overall health and wellbeing.

You'll also promote the principles of Enabling Good Lives, ensuring each resident has the opportunity to actively participate in decisions about their life and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of 18 support staff
  • Oversee household finances and rosters
  • Liaise with whanau, health professionals, and external providers
  • Ensure residents' needs are met while supporting independence and choice
  • Work a combination of morning and afternoon shifts (Monday–Friday), providing hands-on support and leadership across varying times
  • Balance administrative duties with direct support work

What We Offer

  • Fully paid Health Insurance
  • External professional supervision
  • Ongoing learning and development opportunities
  • A supportive and dynamic team environment
  • Weekends and public holidays off
  • Access to organisation-wide conferences and events

If you're a confident, compassionate leader ready to make a real difference in people's lives, we'd love to hear from you.

Please note: We will be reviewing applications and interviewing as they are received. If we find the right candidate, this advert may close earlier than the stated closing date
