About the role – Mō te Tūranga

We are looking for an experienced Facility Manager to take the lead at our wonderful Burlington Care Centre. This is an exciting chance to join a well-established team and make a meaningful impact.

Our Care Centre has been thoughtfully developed, with a strong focus on delivering excellent clinical care, effective operations, and a collaborative team culture. The incoming Facility Manager will have the opportunity to build on this, whilst bringing a fresh perspective, and play a key role in shaping the future direction and ongoing success of the facility.

About you - Ngā Kōrero Mōu

You will share our core values and work effectively with people from a range of backgrounds and cultures. You will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to think on your feet. You will take pride in leading by example and delivering a consistently high standard of support to our residents.

As a candidate you will have:

• A strong understanding of NZ health regulations, audits, and quality requirements.
• Supervisory experience and team leadership skills.
• Ability to educate and supervise nursing and care staff.
• Drive and dedication to maintain the highest standards of care for residents.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and quality care.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• A professional, friendly, and caring attitude.
• Intermediate/advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office software confident using other database management systems.
• Strong organisational skills in particular the ability to manage rosters, staffing, and day-to-day operations.
• Empathy and the ability to confidently interact with people with credibility, and discretion.

The successful candidate will also have:

• The ability to work collaboratively with Village Management and Sales teams to achieve shared occupancy and business objectives.
• A strong focus on maintaining and growing occupancy levels through effective engagement with prospective residents, their families, and key decision-makers.
• Proven relationship-building skills, with the ability to guide families through the decision-making process with empathy, professionalism, and confidence.
• The ability to market and sell Care Suite accommodation, including Qestral's unique ownership model combining Occupation Right Agreement (ORA) ownership with premium care charging arrangements.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills, with a commitment to delivering an exceptional resident and family experience.
• A sense of humour and a positive outlook is essential.
