About the role

Older Persons Health Rehabilitation is seeking a casual Clinical Team Co-ordinator to join our very experienced after hours team.

As the Clinical Team Coordinator you will be responsible for assessing and ensuring optimum patient care, through appropriate allocation of medical and clinical resources across the hospital all shifts including weekends and public holidays. This is a collaborative role working with the medical team, Duty Nurse Managers and afterhours clinical teams.

About You

If you're a motivated and enthusiastic senior Registered Nurse, who thrives on autonomy and have the skills to lead and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, this could be the opportunity for you and we would love to hear from you.

Skills and Experience:

  • Post graduate qualification in Advanced Health Assessment is essential.
  • A New Zealand Registered Comprehensive Nurse with a current APC
  • A minimum of 5 years post registration experience in an acute or high dependency area, medical and surgical.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strong clinical decision making and confidence and ability to work effectively with a large group of people.
  • Have or is working towards a post graduate qualification relevant to nursing
  • Advanced clinical skills examples: venepuncture, cannulation, complex catheterisation and critical thinking
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
