72 hours per fortnight rostered shifts including some weekend work
Te mahi angitu - The opportunity
- Provide strong supportive leadership of Support Worker staff with regular feedback and performance management when required.
- Be responsible for the monitoring of support worker education including induction/orientation and compliance with all expected learning and competencies
- Ensure high quality of care by regular monitoring of tasks and education
- Support the Nurse Lead Allied Health Lead to ensure all care and rehabilitation needs of kiritaki/clients are met within established policies, procedures and required standards
- Perform the role of Key Worker and ensure Primary Support Workers complete specific tasks and reporting as contractually required

- Have a NZQA level 5 minimum or equivalent in the health and disability field
- Have a minimum of 5 years' experience in the disability sector
- Have exceptional oral communication, interpersonal, time management and organisational skills
- Be Computer literate
- Demonstrate proficiency in preparing kiritaki/client and service documentation
- Be able to work effectively with individuals who may have challenging behaviours and high and complex support needs
- Have the ability to use a variety of skills to engage people in a wide range of situations in achieving quality kiritaki/client outcomes
- Demonstrate competence and experience in effective engagement with community agencies and networks
- Have a proactive approach to problem solving
- Possess conflict resolution skills
