About the Role

Come and join the Health NZ | Te Whatu Ora team as a Registered Nurse in our Waikato Emergency Department

The salary for this position will be based on experience and in line with the NZNO Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand Nursing and Midwifery collective agreement. Additional benefits include kiwisaver contributions (if eligible), shift allowances, professional development and wellness support.

About the Service

The Waikato ED is the major regional referral and trauma centre for the Midland region. We see approximately 85,000 patients per year with a broad case mix of presentations from paediatrics to geriatrics, medicine to trauma there is no aspect of emergency medical care we do not provide.

About you

You will:

  • have a current annual practising certificate or be eligible to gain one.
  • have the eligibility to work in New Zealand.
  • as the ideal candidate, have a minimum of 2 years of recent post-registration experience in emergency or acute care nursing.
  • demonstrate commitment to customer-focused service delivery.
  • exhibit highly effective communication skills.

As this is a fast-paced role where no two days are the same, you will be able to work autonomously whilst still being a team player!
