- Part-time 0.8 FTE (64 hours per fortnight)
- Rostered shifts Monday to Sunday, 0800 - 1630

About the Role
Meade Clinical Centre outpatient clinics is seeking a compassionate and motivated Health Care Assistant to join our dedicated healthcare team. This role is ideal for someone who is patient-focused, organised, and committed to supporting a high standard of care in a collaborative environment. The position is fixed-term to cover parental leave.
As a Health Care Assistant, you will support registered nurses and medical professionals by delivering delegated care and contributing to a safe, caring, and efficient healthcare environment.
The salary for this position is based on experience and in line with the NZNO Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand Nursing and Midwifery collective agreement. Additional benefits include kiwisaver contributions (if eligible), shift allowances on weekends, professional development and wellness support.

About the Team/Service
The Meade Clinical Centre is comprised of a diverse range of specialty outpatient clinics, and services up to 900 patients per day. You will be part of a large, supportive team working in a world class primary healthcare facility, where teamwork, innovation, and creativity is valued, and our role in healthcare and the people we provide care to are our top priority.
About you
The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to:
- Work positively within a team environment and actively contribute to a caring culture
- Provide patient care as delegated by a Registered Nurse or medical professional
- Bring previous experience in service delivery, preferably within a healthcare setting
- Manage time effectively and use initiative when required
- Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, and colleagues
- Apply strong prioritisation and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
- Confidently use computers and healthcare-related technology
- Follow sustainability practices when managing supplies and resources
- Be available to work across all days of the week, Monday to Sunday
